DFW currently has a truly wonderful weekly email newsletter publication, to which I subscribe. It's a fabulous resource for show information, audition information, and reviews. But I've found myself wanting more. Articles, spotlights, editorials, tips, tricks-of-the-trade, behind-the-scenes, etc.
Once upon a time, I spent 12 years in the publishing industry, both book publishing and periodicals, but most recently I'd been firmly rooted in social services.
I think the Universe is telling me through life's bumps and hurdles that it's time to return to publishing! What better venture than to create a MONTHLY magazine devoted to DFW Theatre?
(Stage Whisper) Magazine will be a full-color magazine in PDF format, available via free subscription. It will be funded though generous donations and, of course, advertising. It will include an advertiser index and lots of other neat information about all kinds of theatre-related stuff in the DFW Metroplex, from high school productions to Broadway tours!
